AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (127 MXS)

This position is located in one of two major divisions within the Logistics Directorate (LogisticsGroup) of an Air National Guard Flying Wing. Its purpose is to provide overall direction andcoordination of subordinate work activities within one of three major work functions (AircraftGeneration Division, and the Equipment Maintenance and the Component Repair Branches ofthe Aircraft Maintenance Division. All three work functions are organized with a number ofsubordinate supervisors due to the scope, volume, and complexity of operations. The workinvolves the total maintenance of complex, high performance military aircraft, ranging frommulti-purpose heavy, multi engine transports to the most modern sophisticated fighters andbombers. All aircraft are fully integrated in and are part of the Total Force Mission of the UnitedStates Air Force. Occupations supervised are somewhat similar, in that they all involvemaintenance of assigned aircraft to ensure combat readiness; they are dissimilar in theirorganizational location, as well as the functional areas, occupational series, and the diversityand complexity of systems for which each function is responsible. The occupation and nonsupervisorygrade which best reflects the overall work operations supervised is AircraftMechanic, WG-8852-10. (1) Planning:
Plans the overall allocation of personnel, funding and equipment resourcesto the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of theirscope, volume, complexity, operational tempo, and total force integration must be planned on aannual or longer basis. (2) Work Direction:
Coordinates and directs the work of units supervised. Assigns and explainswork requirements to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines. (3) Administration:
Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors andreviews personnel actions prepared by them. (4) Implements safety regulatory requirements. (5) Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections,mobilization and command support exercises, and Operations Other Than War (OOTW). Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Your Resume must show at least 36 months in each of the following areas:
Experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting parts, subassemblies and components and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. ((Journeyman)) In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
